:(

Note the reflection of the flash in the screen. Note how dark the screen is, even with the flash. That's what my laptop looks like after falling out of my bag. While I was standing. Good thing I'm not supposed to be busy writing an article and a paper on that laptop, in addition to the everyday needing of a laptop, because I might get really upset about it being broken. We'll see what the repair people can do for me tomorrow.

2/1 - No rain?

Some time ago, I was excited to purchase a new umbrella. I wanted a dome (aka birdcage) umbrella, which I associate with England, because I saw them a lot there. I couldn't find one with a patter that I liked, so I decided to buy a plain clear one a decorate it myself. I could even, if I like, redecorate it after some time. Well, it took me some time to find it, and some time to decorate it. OF course it rained during this time, and the umbrella hadn't arrived yet, then wasn't finished yet. I used it once totally clear, and once with partial decoration. And now it is finished! And it's not at all rainy. But I have high hopes that it will rain some more, as it usually does in February. The umbrella is full of butterflies, some of which can be seen below.

1/31 - RELIGST 205: Truthful Fictions: Religion in Popular Narratives

So here's what I'm excited about today: I turned in my very first book order form ever. It's just a boring piece of paper full of ISBN numbers, but it means that I'm teaching a class that I got to make up on my own, which is pretty neat. Terrifying, but pretty neat, too. Here's hoping some students show up!
